The Afternoon Tea

A Tiered Stand, a Warm Pot, and a Long Afternoon

Each seating begins with a pot poured at your table, and when it runs low, another tea takes its place. Up the tiered stand come tea sandwiches and quiche, scones with lemon curd, and an assortment of cakes and small desserts. It is meant to be lingered over.

  • Tea sandwiches, quiche, and warm scones with lemon curd
  • A rotating pot of tea, refreshed as the afternoon goes on
  • Cakes, cream horns, and an assortment of desserts on the top tier
  • Reserved and pre-paid, so your table is ready when you arrive

Our Story

Step Inside and the Hurry Falls Away

I'm Isolyn, and Victorian Connection is the tea room I always wanted to walk into. We set the table with china and linens, pour the first pot before you've settled in, and explain every tea, because half the fun is trying one you've never had.

Some guests come for a quiet afternoon, others bring a book club or a birthday and dress for the occasion. Either way, the idea is the same: slow down, sit a while, and let an afternoon feel like it used to. When you leave, take a tin of tea with you so a little of it comes home.

Hosted by Isolyn on West Kennewick Avenue

“Entering the shop itself was like stepping into a different time. The Paris Afternoon tea was the table's favorite, and a different tea came out each time a pot was finished.”

The Tea Shop

A Whole Wall of Tea to Take Home

Beyond the tea room, the shop is its own small adventure. The wall is lined with hand-labeled loose-leaf teas, from Spicy Seattle Chai to seasonal blends like Jingle Bell and Holiday Punch, and around it sit the tea sets, cup and saucer pairs, teapots, and linens to set your own table at home.

Kind Words

Five Stars, Thirty-Three Times Over

My son and I went for Holiday Tea and we enjoyed it so much. The table setting was gorgeous and festive. Tea sandwiches, quiche, scones with lemon curd, and several desserts. The tea we had was Jingle Bell. So good that we got some to take home, as well as a mesh ball infuser. Our hostess was so welcoming, and explained everything with much patience for us newbies. She served us pure joy. An absolutely grand experience.

Great atmosphere, very clean and a very comfortable temperature inside. The afternoon tea was a great experience; we had a caramel apple tea that was light. It paired well with the finger foods. The sandwiches were delicious and the breads were fluffy. The best bite was a cookie with jam inside. Beautiful tea sets as well.

This was a wonderful experience. The owner was lovely and we had a great chat. The food was fresh and delicious, my favorites were the cucumber sandwich and the raisin scone with lemon curd. I also purchased some loose leaf teas to take home, the Spicy Seattle Chai is my favorite so far. Would definitely come back.

100% recommend coming for tea. The ladies are so sweet, and the food and tea is delicious. We dressed up and it looked like others did too. Super adorable place.
